Boris Gelfand has won the seventh game of the Anand-Gelfand match, and has now taken a one-game lead with five games remaining. He conducted a very impressive queenless mating attack. As GM Sergey Shipov says, Anand was “not recognizable” in this game, first playing excessively cautiously and then creating uncharacteristic weaknesses. I’ll have all of Shipov’s commentary translated within the next two hours. Stay tuned!
