7. If you lived on the Moon, how often would you see the Earth rise?

Answer:

(D) Never. Earth would always appear to be at roughly the same spot in the sky (or would never appear in the sky, if you lived on the far side). The only exception would be for people at the very eastern or western limb of the Moon, who would always see Earth near their horizon. Because of the Moon's libration, they would see Earth move up and down a bit, and thus they could actually witness a very slow "Earthrise." Also, of course, if you traveled around the Moon you would see an Earthrise; that's the way the astronauts saw it.
